Social services led by Maya case management managers and informed by Maya & Indigenous community experts.
Maya & Indigenous Human Rights Program- Social Services are led by Maya program managers with a background in social work. We work directly with Maya and Indigenous families needing specialized support, and advocacy. We conduct trainings on DEI, and culturally appropriate care of indigenous peoples to various organizations that provide legal and social services to migrants.
We also respond to the needs of Maya and Indigenous migrant families needing urgent or emergency services or referrals, and continuously work collaboratively to serve the Maya Q'anjob'al community in Nebraska, throughout the U.S., and in Maya territory.
We have gained experience through first hand accounts in understanding the challenges indigenous families face, and we strive to accurately portray these challenges through our advocacy efforts.

Family Reunification
We formally managed family reunification efforts where we worked with families who were separated from their children at the U.S. - Mexico border, and suffered grave human and civil rights violations under Zero Tolerance Policy.
